Swiss Hospitality is legendary,

and so is our Chef Roger!

Roger Moullet, our experienced

Swiss Chef & Restaurateur, 

has managed the club

restaurant on behalf of our

members for over twenty two

years.

His daughter, Reneé, runs

the front of house, and

together with their friendly

team, they create a piece of

Swiss warmth and conviviality

right in the heart of Melbourne. 

The Swiss Club Restaurant’s

menu features not only traditional Swiss culinary delights such as Fondue or Rösti, but Roger is renowned for his seasonally inspired weekly specials.

The Restaurant also imports wine and beer from Switzerland and the traditional soft drink Rivella to make dining at the club,  an authentic Swiss experience. 

 

The Building

The Swiss Club of Victoria is a historic Members Club

in Melbourne's CBD.

Founded in 1899, the first club rooms were in Lonsdale street, then relocating to Spring Street, where, believe it or not, they had a bowling alley! Eventually landing at the Flinders Lane building in 1973, where they remain to this day.

The Restaurant is the center of the clubs activities for its 500+ members.However, simply sign in to the guest book, and everone is welcome at the Restaurant.

It provides the members, their guests and visitors a welcoming environment to socialize and enjoy a delicious Swiss meal as they would in Switzerland. 

The restaurant’s decoration and atmosphere resembles a traditional Swiss “Gaststube” with a casual seating area around the bar and a more formal dining area at the rear of the restaurant.  

1st Thursday of the month, enjoy live Swiss Music with 

Kapelle Grüezi Mitenand.

Winter in Melbourne could not be complete without a big pot of melted Cheese at the Swiss Restaurant.

As Melbourne cools down, the Club is here to heat you up with our traditional Cheese Fondue. gruyere & Emmenthal cheese, melted with a hint of garlic and white wine, what could be better?

 

With a vast array of accompanying dishes, our Fondue with transport you instantly to a toasty warm mountain chalet.
